New Sectoral Accreditation Committee

It will operate for the Control Bodies granting certifications in the sector of "quality" food production



On 12th October the Board of Directors meets to ratify the establishment of the third Sectoral Accreditation Committee.

The different areas of competence for the ACCREDIA Sectoral Accreditation Comittes are now:

  • Testing Laboratories (17025)
  • Inspection Bodies (17020) and Certification Bodies, for Products (45011), for Management systems (17021) and for Personnel (17024)
  • Control Bodies in the sector of "quality" food production: bio, doc, dop, etc. (45011)
     

Accreditation Committee: Committee for Accreditation Activities and Sectoral Committees - art. 18 Statute

The Accreditation Committee operates in the field of accreditation, in accordance with the principle of technical competence and operation methods as specified in the General Regulations and with the provisions of internal procedures. The Committee for Accreditation Activities prepares, updates and checks regulations, procedures and provisions in general governing the accreditation activity. The Sectoral Committees decide, in their respective areas of competence, on the granting, maintenance, extension, renewal, reduction, suspension and revocation of accreditation.
